Leicestershire County Council (LCC)
Leicestershire County Council (LCC) provides a wide range of services to over 600,000 local people. Six council departments work together to provide services to the local community. The budget for the council is about £280 million, and the council employs approximately 15,000 staff to deliver Educations, Social Care, Transport, Culture and Leisure services.
As part of an Oracle R12 E-Business modernising programme, LCC requested iTrain develop a programme to cover the significant changes to their CRM, HR and Payroll modules. iTrain’s programme focused on system technology benefits and educating users to ensure maximum return on investment.
The programme aim was to provide a quality Oracle training solution for LCC working in partnership with their Oracle R12 E-Business Suite implementation programme and to deliver the Oracle business skills needed to support improved processes, procedures and methods for best practices. The programme included designing and implementing services, new ways of working, and business processes; implementing new systems and technologies such as a helpdesk solution; designing and implementing new structures, roles and responsibilities for the technology users and stakeholders. These changes had major impacts on the skills, knowledge and competencies required by the CRM, HR and Payroll staff communities across the wider organisation, particularly the line managers. While communication initiatives contributed to the changes required, a coherent and planned programme of training and development was also addressed.
iTrain delivered a complete Training Needs Analysis for the programme leading to deliverable outcomes such as multi-media classroom led user training, Quick Reference Guides for end users, Training Manuals and Exercise Booklets with practical demonstrations and process notes including company policies for off system steps. Classroom sessions were followed by Report Assessments to gauge user comprehension and Stratus eLearning Classroom offers Post Go Live Support for the CRM, HR, and Payroll department users.
