ITV is the biggest commercial television network in the UK, broadcasting the most talked about television and making a major contribution to the UK’s culture, economy and communities. A series of mergers over the last decade created one ITV plc. The Finance wing of the organisation was using a number of legacy systems, which were fragmented and inefficient.
In 2006, ITV had a ‘standard’ Finance system with many other key/bespoke systems including 32 interfaces into Oracle, 3 sales ledgers, a month-end close cycle of 10 days with management reports preparation taking up to 15 days, 70 percent manual transactions and data re-keying of month end journals, 8 monthly and 2 weekly payrolls, and over 200 legal entities. The integration of ITV’s financial systems has required a high level of user consultation. iTrain was requested to supply both financial training and Stratus eLearning in 2008 for over 6000 thousand employees with 5 years of licensing and support.
iTrain was engaged over a 6 month process to develop a wide range of eLearning support modules for the rollout of the Production project accounting application (PICS project). iTrain provided classroom and eLearning development with support services.
ITV have since commenced a major programme of corporate financial consolidation called 21st century finance. iTrain was engaged to deliver the full bespoke lessons and eLearning programme for more than 6000 employees across the UK.
To date workshops have been delivered to over 500 individuals in various financial roles across ITV, with an audience of thousands accessing Stratus eLearning for all modules as well as financial control information. iTrain also continue to deliver End User support across ITV including invoice to cash and iExpense training for the main finance business service centre in Manchester.
