Hewlett-Packard was founded in 1939, with corporate headquarters in Palo Alto, California HP is among the world's largest IT companies, with a true global reach and revenues totaling $118.4 billion for fiscal year 2008.

Twelve months after the merger of HP and Compaq and in search of single CRM solution Hewlett-Packard Co. selected Siebel eBusiness Applications as its core CRM technology.

Enabling Change

Consolidation of HP technology was a smooth process, Mike Overly VP of customer operations for HP’s global operation unit acknowledged the challenge was “…to get people to behave differently and think differently”.

Building on the existing HP iTrain Business Alliance, iTrain were the natural partner to engage within the HP Siebel Sales TNA. iTrain’s CRM education consultants went on to scope and develop a fully bespoke training solution, mirroring business processes to support the and deliver training to the UK business units and following this success across EMEA.

As a proven HP Siebel Sales education partner iTrain were engaged to deliver real time online training across the three American time zones. Delivered using iTrain’s proprietary eLearning Platform Stratus, iTrain were able to standardise training and reduce unnecessary travel.

HP completed the rollout of Seibel Sales to its direct sales force and contact centre team and continue to use it as the companies core CRM. iTrain and HP continue to work together.
